Learn About Creighton Club Hockey
We are members of the Pacific Region in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division III and the Mid American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) Silver West Conference. We play teams like Kansas, Missouri State, Air Force Academy, Wisconsin—Platteville, Dordt College, Missouri, and Nebraska.
We play around 20 regular season games each year and have the opportunity to qualify for our league, regional, and national playoff tournaments. All of our games are played on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons. We practice Tuesday and Thursday nights from 9:30-10:30 at Ralston Arena. This season we have players from all different levels including High School Varsity, Minnesota Junior Gold, and different junior leagues.
There is a fee to play on the team, which can range from $800 to $1,000 a season depending on how many players the team has. Your dues, as well as funding from the Creighton Student's Union, will help the team pay from ice times, refs, trainers, hotels, and other team expenses.
We recommend players wear a white helmet and blue gloves, but it is not required. Players are provided with custom blue breezer covers.
Players carpool to practices and most games in their personal vehicles and drivers are reimbursed for gas money from the club. We take one bus trip a year, including a trip to Colorado Springs to play Air Force and University of Colorado Springs next season.
Players store their equipment in a storage unit minutes from campus.
